Volunteer Opportunity: Sphere Handbook Revision Steering Committee

A Revision Steering Committee will be formed to provide governance support and strategic guidance for the Sphere Handbook Revision. The Committee will report to the Sphere Governing Board and play a central role in shaping the revision, including:

• Guiding the scope of the Revision to meet stakeholder needs
• Providing strategic advice to those directly involved in the Revision
• Recommending actions on issues with major implications
• Monitoring the overall direction and management of the Revision
• Reconciling differences of opinion and resolving disputes as they arise

We invite you to consider yourself or nominate individuals from your network who could contribute to this important process.

• Strategic and governance experience
• Relevant humanitarian expertise
• Stakeholder engagement and representation
• Active participation and commitment
• Oversight and project acumen
• Advocacy and ambassadorship
• Promoting diversity and balance

• Two Co-Chairs
• Sphere Focal Point
• Civil society, UN, ICRC/IFRC, and NGO representation
• One or two individuals from Technical Chapter or Thematic Working Groups
• Additional specialist representatives as needed (consultants, advisers, observers)
