Methodology:
The assignment aims at developing a training package for WASH and nutrition awareness as a component of the school sanitation initiative. The assignment includes provision of technical assistance in delivering of capacity building and coaching, as well as developing the tools for monitoring and evaluation of training packages within targeted primary schools.
The task will be undertaken under the direct supervision and support of UNICEF’s WASH Officer, with technical inputs from UNICEF Nutrition specialist, Social Behavioral Change and other dedicated technical staff , and in close coordination with the Water Companies and Ministry of Education concerned departments centrally and in the field with technical support from the National Nutrition Institute.

Documentation of existing materials (including a comprehensive list [1] ), and identification of the background material for the training manual. Conceptual framework and outline submitted for review. Produce the mapping of current approach and proposed changes.
Inception report including all above and action plan submitted

Conditions of work:
This is a short term, part time consultancy. The consultant will be working in coordination with the CSD Nutrition Specialist, WASH and SBC Officers to fulfil the tasks required. The assignment will entail field trips to conduct the ToT in the targeted governorates as per the detailed activities mentioned above.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
-Equivalent of postgraduate degree in relevant fields (particularly in WASH education, public health or nutrition, social/behavioral sciences)
-10-15 years of work experience in school-based interventions
-Trainer with health background and specific knowledge of nutrition, WASH and Social and Behavioral Change Communication
-Extensive technical competence in developing subject matter and training manuals
-Previous experience in developing and carrying participatory rapid assessment and in Monitoring and evaluation
-Ability to conduct training of trainers’ courses (TOT), with focus on behavior change communication
-Specific experience in working with governmental institutions as well as local, regional and international organizations
-Exceptional analytical and writing skills, especially in Arabic
